
Carol Kauffman, M.A., CCC-SLP received her master's degree in speech and hearing science from the Ohio State University in 1977. Since then, she has provided services in a variety of settings, including clinics, hospitals, early intervention, and school settings. For fifteen years, as director of Speech and Hearing at Madison County Hospital, London, Ohio, she helped implement the Attention-Behavior-Language Evaluation (ABLE) Clinic in close collaboration with the Mental Health and Occupational Therapy Departments, where she provided extensive diagnostic and consultation services to families of children with attention, learning, behavior, and language disorders.
She has presented at the state and national levels on topics concerning ADHD and language disorders, and has published articles in ADVANCE for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists and other publications. In 1995, she formed her own company, Language Learning Consultants, which provides ADHD-related consultation and educational materials for speech-language pathologists and others involved in teaching young, active children. Most importantly, she has been the parent of a child diagnosed with ADHD for over 20 years.
